| I think my plasma screen would look nice on my wall. What would be involved with wall mounting my screen?
A. Firstly you are going to need a suitable bracket, there are a number available including ones that can tilt and turn. Make sure you quote your screen size (normally in inches diagonally) when purchasing to ensure the bracket will hold the weight of your screen.
It is also important to ask the retailer if you need any adapters for the fixings on the back of the TV. For larger screens (32”+) if there are is an adapter available to enable the bracket to attach across 2 studs rather than one, I would highly recommend getting it.
Next, organise for an authorised installer to mount the screen this means you are covered by their insurance, I have not seen a screen fall of a wall yet, but it pays to get a professional to perform the install (a HiFi specialist will be able to arrange this for you if you like).
Lastly, there are a number of cables that need to be run to the plasma from your A/V equipment (DVD, Amp, etc) as well as power. Discuss these options with your installer before mounting the screen.
