There are many misconceptions about these two very different approaches to selling AV equipment.
1. You DO NOT get the same level of service from both. Never underestimate the value of good service—before you purchase and even more important, after. Many specialist stores offer free basic delivery and installation, ensuring your equipment is properly connected for optimal performance and most importantly you are given instruction on how to use your equipment. Ask your retailer if they offer these services before purchasing.
2. Specialist stores are just that; they specialise in AV equipment and installation, they invest in knowledgeable and trained staff who have the ability and specialised facilities to fully demonstrate your purchase.
3. Finally, it is rare that a specialist store is unable to compete on price from another retailer, but with all the above mentioned benefits. |
