Portable DVD players – Sony and Panasonic are my pick of these. Available from $400 upwards.
Under $600: Apple iPod. The latest range of iPods are in are again the “must have” A/V Christmas gift. For those who already have an iPod, there are a range of accessories available to enhance the music and video playback of your portable device.
From $800 Sony and Panasonic LCD and Plasma TV. After all these years, the leaders of big screen technology are still Sony and Panasonic! Both are very reliable, offer high performance, advanced features, ample inputs/outputs and are refreshingly user friendly. With sizes from 26” to 58”, there is a set to suit any room.
Under $2000: Sonos Bundle 130. My vote for product of the year, the Sonos bundle takes music systems to a new level. You simply need a demo of this product to appreciate how it will change the way you listen to music.
